Human Growth Factors (HGF). Growth factors are naturally produced in our skin, and as we age HGF production declines. Products containing HGF essentially trick your skin into thinking you are younger, and therefore stimulate additional collagen production. The result is overall skin rejuvenation, most notably increased firmness and elasticity as well as improved appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Retinol. Retinol is the best over-the-counter ingredient used to reverse damage caused by exposure to the sun. I suggest starting out with a moisturizer or serum that contains .65% Retinol and adjusting the frequency of use depending on individual skin type. For preventing further sun damage, make sure to wear sunscreen with zinc oxide!
Product recommendations:SkinMedica Tri-Retinol Complex (0.65% total retinoids) SkinMedica Environmental Defense™ SPF 30+ (8% Zinc Oxide also contains antioxidants)
Antioxidants. Topical antioxidants act as free radical neutralizers, protecting your cells from harmful damage. If gone unchecked, free radicals are capable of degenerating skin tissue. Antioxidants will also improve the appearance of skin, particularly the tone and texture, while offering added protection from the Sun.
Product recommendations: Oculus TeaDerma Pads, Jan Marini® C-Esta Serum
